At Project Engineering, one of our clients has just announced that they are now taking orders for their new 6kW and 10kW wind turbines.
The turbines which are aimed at the domestic, small business and agricultural markets are among the class leaders in terms of affordability and payback periods (one of the shortest).
Project Engineering assisted our client with CE Marking their 6kW and 10kW turbines. This included guiding them through the CE Marking process for the turbine & generator assembly, the specially developed turbine controller and also the associated electrical equipment.
Project Engineering provided a ‘turn-key’ solution, arranging the necessary testing, and working with our client to prepare the necessary documentation.
The 6kW & 10kW turbines fell under the scope of the Machinery Directive, the Low Voltage Directive and the EMC Directive.
Project Engineering carried out a full assessment against the requirements of the Machinery Directive and the Low Voltage Directives. Testing was carried out to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the EMC Directive.
With the CE Mark in place, our client is free to sell their 6kW and 10kW turbines in the 27 EU member states.
If your company is developing a new product and need assistance with the CE Marking process, contact us, we’d be glad to help.
